DPL Guide: Placing a request for a particlar volume

To request a basic hold: click here

To get the correct volume or part of a TV series you can place a volume specific request. Unlike a regular request, which tells the catalog system to send any item associated with a title, a volume specific request tells the system exactly which volume or part to send.

Customers also have the option to call their local branch and have library staff place the request for them if they wish.


1. To begin the process, log in to your library account. Click "My Account" in the blue menu bar along the top of the page.

2. Click on Catalog to search for the DVD series. Enter the title you wish to search for and click the Title button.

3. Select DVD from the Browse Listing menu as seen below.

4. Click Place Request.

You will see the following screen:

5. Click the Specific Item Icon (a hand holding a book).

6. Click Submit Request.

7. Click Continue to place request.

To verify that your hold has been placed click Go to list of hold requests.
