Policies: Unattended Child

In keeping with the Library’s commitment to customer service and the provision of a safe and inviting atmosphere especially for children and families, the following guidelines are set forth to define those activities that are inappropriate for our users and therefore prohibited.

1. Neglecting to provide proper supervision of children.
2. Using children’s areas for any activities other than their intended purpose.

• Any adults wishing to use children’s areas must check in with Children’s Center staff.
• Adults wishing to use children’s areas must be accompanied by a child or be given express permission to use these areas from Children’s Center staff.

Library staff will enforce these guidelines in a consistent and impartial manner.
