How do I find educational summer programs for children?

Little Girl Reading in BackyardTo find summer programs for children, access the Library’s Communify Information Database, and search using “summer programs” as a subject. This will return a list of 34 programs for children.

Dallas Child magazine publishes an annual guide to summer programs, which is a special issue of the magazine made available in June of each year.

The Library has the “The Mayor’s Summer Reading Program” and regular children’s programs at many of its Branch library locations.

Children of any age can participate in the Summer Reading Program by listening to someone read to them. You can sign up for the program at a branch or online. All of our locations are going to have tons of storytimes, crafts and other fun activities this summer.
