I want a list of all the fraternal organizations in the United States. Does the library have resources that can help me?

Using the ReferenceUSA database, available online to Dallas Public Library patrons, it is possible to generate lists of associations, businesses, etc. This YouTube video explains how to do it, step-by-step. You can download as many as 250 records at a time using ReferenceUSA.

Thank you, Mark! That was an excellent presentation, and you have a convert to ReferenceUSA, although it is the very last database I would have thought to search. What really amazes me are the categories and sub-categories and sub-sub-categories of businesses. They can’t possibly have left anything out. In case you are interested in analyzing the competition among “Masonic Outfitters” (under the category MISC APPAREL), there seem to be only seven in the entire United States, four in Pennsylvania alone.
