The State Fair is here! What materials does the library have about its history?

This year, the State Fair will run through Oct 21, 2012. If you’re curious about the history of the State Fair and Fair Park in general, The Texas/Dallas History and Archives Division on the 7th floor has numerous resources available.

Many of our materials relate to the 1936 Texas Centennial– the event marking 100 years of Texas independence. Fair Park was selected as the central exposition site for this celebration.
