Education is a key to a better life and Plaza Comunitaria offers that key to any Spanish speakers who seek it. This non-profit organization is dedicated to improving the lives of the Dallas Hispanic community by offering free education as well as computer literacy classes.
On Friday, October 19th, Plaza Comunitaria and the Bachman Lake Library celebrated these efforts by conducting a graduation ceremony for the students. Spanish speaking students received diplomas for achieving elementary, secondary, and high school levels of education as well as certificates in computer training. A representative from The Mexican Consulate provided a moving and inspiring keynote address on the importance of education.
