Thanks-Giving Foundation recently awarded prizes for its 8th annual Expressions 
Student Art and Essay Contest with a ceremony at the Winspear Opera House. The theme this year was “I am Grateful for Water”. The winners in the grade-level categories are on display on the First Floor of the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library through March.
This year Expressions received several hundred entries of art work and essays from across the U.S. and several foreign countries. Among the winners in art is an entry from Uganda.
All the entries are gratifying examples of students’ expressions of gratitude for the life-giving and powerful force of water.
