I’m thinking about starting a small business. What do you have that would help me?

We offer books, periodicals and databases of interest to business startups.  We are also beginning a free monthly series of programs related to starting and operating a small business.  Programs will include information on finding financing, writing business plans, small business incubators, developing marketing strategies, social media, and more.

Our first program, “Finding Money to Start or Grow Your Small Business” will be held Saturday, March 29, from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, in the Hamon Room on the 5th floor of the Central Library.  Dallas’ nonprofit, community lenders who make loans to small businesses, including start-ups will talk about how they provide alternative forms of small business financing and work with clients that are seeking small loans or have little business experience.  A question and answer session will immediately follow the program.

The program is free, however space is limited.  To register for the program please email Business@dallaslibrary.org or call 214-670-1468 during these hours: Tues / Weds: 10am-5pm; Thurs: 12-8pm; Fri / Sat: 10am-5pm; Sun: 1pm–5pm. (Closed Mondays)
