Get Up & Go! Afterschool Program

What does it mean to be healthy? The 8-week Get Up & Go program teaches children the basics of healthy nutrition, physical activity, goal setting and more in a fun, encouraging environment. Parents are welcome too! The program is made possible by Children's Health.


Microsoft Word for Beginners

Learn to use Microsoft Word 2010 to write a resume, a letter, a book.... the possibilities abound! Topics include typing and formatting; tables; sending a file through email; shortcut keys and Spanish diacritics. Participants will have many opportunities for hands-on practice.


Computer Class for Adults: Basic Keyboarding and Internet Skills

When: Monday, February 09, 2015 - 11:00 AM
Where: Arcadia Park Branch Library (in the In Library)

This introductory class teaches adult learners to use the keyboard and navigate the Internet. Students have many opportunities to demonstrate their learning at each step.


Volunteer Orientation

When: Tuesday, February 10, 2015 - 2:00 PM
Where: Arcadia Park Branch Library (in the Children's Area)

Help the community, make new friends, and gain workforce experience by volunteering at the library! Candidates must be at least 14 years old, attend orientation, and pass the background check before they are approved for service. Minors require parent signature on application. Come to orientation and get started!


Library Live! Black History Month

Join master puppeteer Sandy Shrout and her clever puppets to see this West African tale about a trickster spider and his plan to deceive the animals and steal their food. Does he succeed?
