Book Time With Ronald McDonald

Ronald McDonald and his friend "Stoogie," a sock-puppet bookworm, share their excitement for reading and introduce other good "friends" - books. In addition, the show reinforces appropriate library use and proper care of books. Ultimately, Ronald McDonald delivers a powerful message to children - reading is fun and book time is an important part of the day.
Preschool and Elementary age. In place of the regular storytime.

Sparky the Firedog Puppet Show

Presented by the Dallas Fire Department, children will learn basic fire safety tips in a fun and entertaining show.
Takes the place of our regular story-time. Children of all ages may attend.

Mark Shelton Percussionist- Strike, Scrape and Shake Show

When: Friday, June 28, 2013 - 2:30 PM
Where: Audelia Road Branch Library (in the Auditorium*)

Entertaining and Educational ! Mark treats students to high energy expert playing on several members of the percussion family. Students get into the act with a little "hambonin,'" as Mark talks about the history of percussion. Instruments include Roto Toms, Cymbals, Electronic Percussion, Snare Drum, Spoons, Hammered Dulcimer, Doumbec, and Handpan.

Lots of sound! Lots of variety! Lots of FUN!


Beat the Heat Craft Time

Dallas Museum of Art presents Go Van Gogh "Imaginary Worlds"
