INSPIRED AGING HAND QUILTING WORKSHOP

When: Saturday, March 07, 2015 - 2:00 PM
Where: Highland Hills Branch Library (in the Classroom A)

In this hand-quilting class for beginners, the instructor Maryum Karim will teach participants how to make beautiful but simple quilts by hand rather than constructing them on a sewing machine. Participants will have an opportunity to create their own personalized hand quilt that can be handed down for generations.

Program made possible with a grant from The Dallas Foundation.

Need help making sense out of math homework? Stop by for one-on-one math tutoring for grades K - 12. Please bring your current math assignments, a pencil, and scratch paper.

Join Master storyteller Alfreda Rollins to explore some of First Lady Michelle Obama's programs and ideas that have been implemented to improve the lives of children and families. Share with the group what you can do to positively impact your community, your school and your surroundings. "Get Up and Move" to Mrs. Obama's exercises and plant some vegetable seeds to take home.
