Why I Love My Library Essay Contest

Where: Lochwood Branch Library
The Lochwood Branch Library Friends are holding an essay contest to show our support for the Library. The topic is "Why I love my library" and the essay should be 250 words or less (1 page). Tell us why the library is important to you and what you like most about the library.
The essay should be 250 words or fewer, typed or clearly handwritten on one side of the page. Put your name, phone number, grade, and email address if you have one on the top of the page.
The Student Essay Contest is open to all students in elementary school, middle school, and high school. Depending on participation, multiple cash awards may be given to different age groups.
All entries have to be received at the Lochwood Library by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. A hard copy of the essay must be delivered to the reference desk by that deadline.
Awards will be announced and given at the Lochwood Library on Wednesday, May 23rd at 6:00 p.m.
The essay winners will be posted at the library. You need not be present at 6:00 p.m. on May 23rd to win. We will ask cash prize winners to read their essays at City Hall, and the Friends will make reasonable transportation accommodations to facilitate this.
