Black Vegetarian Society of Texas (BVSTX)

TO EDUCATE / TO PROMOTE / TO INFLUENCE!
BVSTX's mission is to educate the public, particularly the African American community, on the benefits of a plant-based diet, to promote wellness and to influence the community to pursue a vegetarian lifestyle. The Organization seeks to educate the community, particularly in meeting and addressing the concerns of chronic and degenerative diseases. People of color are disproportionately affected by hypertension and diabetes.

MLK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PRESENTATION- ST. LOUIS UNIV., ST. LOUIS, MO

School representatives will be here to give local students and parents information on the MLK Scholarship:
The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is granted to students who are committed to the promotion of diversity in our society and who demonstrate leadership in the classroom, on campus and in the greater community. Recipients of this scholarship will be connected to students, faculty and staff who are dedicated to promoting Dr. King's ideals at Saint Louis University. THE MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE TO FRESHMEN ENTERING FALL TERM.
