Felony and/or Misdemeanor-Friendly Job Fair Orientation

The TDCJ---Region II Partnership Council of Dallas proudly presents their 3rd Annual Felony and/or Misdemeanor Friendly Community Career Fair. The following conditions are *REQUIRED* to attend this Pre-Fair Orientation: *Must attend in 'professional attire' to receive private event location via email. *Must bring a valid picture ID to the orientation. *Must bring 1 page typed resume which lists your email address. *Must bring proof of your being "touched" by the criminal justice system (official paperwork). *Event is for criminal background job seekers only: case managers, employment specialists, etc. will MOT be admitted. *Pre-Career Fair Orientation dates/times: 7/1, 7/22, 8/12, 8/26, 9/2. Start times are 1pm sharp (doors lock at 1pm. NO late entry allowed). *Orientation address: 2922 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Bldg. C, Dallas, TX 75215. Limited to the first 700 registrants. A Seniors' Meetup: "How to Talk to Your Dr."

Class:"How to Engage YOUR Healthcare Provider in a Conversation about YOUR Health." Dr. Princess Jackson Regional Administrator and Martha Culver, Senior Public Health Advisor both from Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) will be presenting this special health class for seniors. *Location: Martin Luther King Recreation Center, 2901 Pennsylvania Ave, Dallas 75215. The event is a collaboration of the MLK Branch Library and the MLK Recreation Center.


FREE MATH TUTORING

Free Math Tutoring provided for youth K - 12 in the South Dallas area. Supplies provided. Excellent method (The Kumon Method) with a proven track record to improve math skills. Presented by Dr. Gil Lee, Engineering Professor of UT Dallas.


GED ORIENTATION CLASS

Classes are Orientation sessions for GED classes beginning in September. They will be conducted by Education Director for the GED program at the Martin Luther King Branch, Marian Williams.


Breathing is an ART - Children's Medical Center, Dallas

Join the Children's Health Asthma Team at the Breathing is an ART class where you can express your feelings about asthma through painting, drawing, and even role-playing.
