After School "Reader's Theatre & Movie Time"

Children will participate in a Reader's Theatre using age appropriate, high interest level books. They will also enjoy fun, relaxing, movies and crafts alternately.


X-Box 360 - Board Games - Etc.! Come and Get Your Game Skills On!

When: Saturday, May 28, 2016 - 3:00 PM
Where: Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library (in the Conference Room)

Come and join other youth in a positive and safe week-end "out-of-school time" activity showing off your game skills playing with the X-Box 360. Games on the X-Box 360 not only allow you to exercise your body, but it can also stimulate your mind. Play with a variety of board games such as chess, checkers, Pictureka and more. Kids can relax their minds and bodies on Saturdays while out of school on the weekend.

"Its Book Time with Ronald McDonald and Stoogie the Puppet"

Join Ronald McDonald and his friend, "Stoogie," a sock-puppet bookworm tell why reading is fun and book time is an important part of the day. This program will be a creative mix of music and magic as they reinforce the value of books and the enjoyment that comes from reading.  They will also reinforce appropriate library use and proper care of books. So come on in and share in their excitement for reading.
