Children will listen/participate in read aloud children's stories that focus on different themes that pertain to chidren's everyday living adventures with an educational emphasis.

Math Tutoring

Free "Math Tutoring" class for students living in the South Dallas section of town. Grades K-12 Students must sign-up to attend.


Computer Class

When: Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 10:00 AM
Where: Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library

Class teaches basic computer skills. Learn how to use Microsoft Word, search/surf the Internet, learn how to perform a job search, set-up/use personal Email account, and use of library catalog. *Call to confirm. Maximum class capacity is six (6) and is on a first come first served basis for attendance.


Vegetarian 101 Class

Everything you wanted to know about becoming a vegetarian.


Adult Literacy Class

The Adult Literacy Class is a program designed to promote and instill a love for reading, with the belief that if adults can read, the entire family can become avid readers, aspiring writers and be better prepared to advance in education.

African American culutural awareness mentoring program that explains the seven steps of Kwanzaa.


Youth Conflict Resolution Workshop

When: Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 2:00 PM
Where: Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library

Teens will dicuss different confrontational topics and solutiions for solving them.
