Computer Class - Adults

Learn basic computer skills such as setting up email accounts, job searches, browse the Internet, use Microsoft Word, use job resume forms in MSWord. ***Note: "Classes do not meet on the last Saturday of each month."


Family Literacy Reception and Orientation

When: Tuesday, September 07, 2010, at 6:00 PM
Where: Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library (in the Classroom 1)

Reception and orientation for everyone that has registered to participate in the Family Literacy Classes that will begin on September 8. All class sessions will be from 5:30pm - 7:30pm every Tuesday and Wednesday.


Family Literacy Class

When: Wednesday, September 08, 2010, at 5:30 PM
Where: Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library (in the Classroom 1)

Participants* will be taught basic reading comprehension and literacy skills to increase reading literacy.
*Note: Registration requirements: Parents must not have received a GED or high school diploma and their children must be in grades K-3).

MATH Tutoring - "FREE"

"Math Tutoring" class for students living in the South Dallas section of town. Grades K-12 Students must sign-up to attend. Registration required.


Martin Luther King, Jr. Library "Adult Book Club"

Join us for the official "kick-off" meeting of MLK library's Adult Book Club. Author of the book, "Light Bread" by Dr. Cordell Adams, MD. will be the featured literary guest speaker. He is author It was named a #1 bestseller for local paperback fiction by the Dallas Morning News.


"Wii Game Day Challenge"

Teens will participate in an exciting, fun filled afternoon of Wii virtual game challenges and also board games.
