Come visit the White Rock Hills Branch Library and view artwork by Rebecca Boatman. Rebecca Boatman received her graduate degree in Ceramics from Texas Woman's University in 1986 and recently retired as art professor from Collin College in Frisco, Texas. She has a studio in the White Rock area and every fall she participates in the White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour, the oldest tour in the metroplex. Her sculptures are included in collections throughout the U.S. including Orton International Cone Box Collection, Johnson & Johnson, Xerox Corporation, Eastman Kodak, and Volunteer Hospitals of America. Her other interests include world travel and gardening.


Tai Chi Rhythms

Learn to move with effortless grace from the inside out as you soften you muscles, lubricate your joints, and increase your center of balance. Tai Chi is a martial art of dynamic relaxation and full body awareness. Tai Chi literally means, "The Grand Ultimate" and is an art of receiving and redirecting energy mentally, physically and spiritually. In this series of classes, open to all levels, we will use movement, breathing and visualization exercises to relax the body, increase feeling awareness, and sharpen mental focus. Learn the basic principles of qi gong, the mother of all tai chi, and discover the power of effortless grace in games of leverage, balance, and concentration. Hosted by second generation circus performer SaTek Ananda.

Building Your Financial Home

What comes first and where to start when building your financial home? Learn the steps for establishing a solid foundation and building a solid financial home by following a process that helps you prioritize the way you spend your time, money, and focus on financial decisions. This session includes discussions on wills & powers of attorney, college planning, retirement planning, long term care, and many areas of financial concern.

Catherine Patrick is a Dallas based financial services representative who educates individuals and families about developing workable plans for reaching their financial goals. She is a frequent guest speaker at company and community sponsored events. Catherine lives in East Dallas and educates clients across the DFW Metroplex.
