About BookEnds

With a strong focus on customer service and community, BookEnds is a store like no other. Located on the 1st floor of the Central Downtown Branch, BookEnds provides books, music, and media at wonderful prices.

BookEnds also promotes community in the Downtown Dallas area by featuring works by local authors, artists and designers. The store is supported by a team of dedicated community volunteers.

Monthly Book Sale

Bookends offers a special book sale every 3rd weekend of the month where books and other materials are sold at extra low rates.

  • 50¢ per Item
  • $6 per box (fill up a box with as much sale items as you can and purchase it at this amazing price! Standard–sized boxes only, please. Boxes can be provided)

These special prices are offered during the 3rd weekend sale only and will not be available during regular hours of operation. Please check our website for updates as sale information may change.

Volunteer at BookEnds

BookEnds depends heavily on support from volunteerism. We welcome volunteer support and value their time. Our pleasant atmosphere, relaxed pace and diverse range of customers make BookEnds a wonderful choice to volunteer.

About the books

BookEnds sells items that have been donated or withdrawn from our collections. Reasons for withdrawal include items being superseded by newer editions or damage to the item. Money earned from the sale of books and supplies in BookEnds are used to purchase new materials needed for the collection.
