Guide to the Microform and CD-ROM Holdings

This guide has been prepared for a three-fold purpose.
- Firstly, it serves as a point of access to the many resources in the library that are not necessarily reflected in the library’s official on-line catalogue.
- Secondly, it also describes these resources and relates them to published works, guides, and calendars.
- Thirdly, in such cases, the call numbers in the Genealogy Section are given if there are published works based upon or related to each entry.
The scope of the collection has become so vast that staff and users can no longer be expected to remember all of the resources available. This guide serves to make users aware of the information available and how to gain access to the data. Integrating the information, regardless of the formats, is a role that has heretofore been neglected.
Each entry indicates the format(s) of the item—microfilm, microfiche, microcard, or CD as well as the number of items in the set.
