The Dallas Public Library's Community Information Database contains information on some 5,500 local governmental and nonprofit organizations, clubs, hobby groups, unions, professional associations and more. It attempts to be comprehensive with regard to Dallas but also includes groups from surrounding cities, as far away as Fort Worth.
If you see a record in the database that has incorrect information, please let us know. If you would like to submit an update or suggest a new organization or group, please use this form. Thank you!

To limit your search to a particular Census Tract first, select "Census Tract" from the pulldown menu and then simply enter the tract number, as shown below.
Enter all digits, including two decimal places for tracts that end in something other than zero. For example, here are some search patterns that will work in our database:

Not all tracts have been subdivided into smaller areas. These tools can help you identify tracts of interest:
To limit your search to a particular City Council District first, select "City Council District" from the pulldown menu and then simply enter a two-digit number, as shown below. For districts 0-9, please place a zero in from of the number. Example:

zip code number in the search box and leave the pull down menu at
Search all fields. You can then add another key word or a subject
