Credit Scores

You are entitled to a free credit report each year, one from each of the three major credit bureaus. You can also obtain a free copy of your FICO score, which is a measure of your credit risk. Credit scores can impact you in many ways including how much interest you will pay on an auto or home loan, how much you pay for auto insurance and perhaps even whether or not you get hired for a job or are able to rent an apartment. (If a potential employer runs a credit check on you, it must be with your consent.)
