The area known as Hollywood Heights was created in the 1920s as the Hollywood Addition with the later additions of Santa Monica and Collier. Created by the Hollywood Company, the development consists of 800 Tudor cottages and was envisioned as a middle class oasis to compliment the more affluent Lakewood development.

This collection contains the research material gathered by Larry and Donna Bogart regarding the Hollywood Heights neighborhood. The Bogarts had gathered materials regarding the neighborhood and its inhabitants for use in a future publication. Included within the collection are oral histories from selected neighbors, research conducted by the Bogarts from Dallas City Directories and Texas Death Records, as well as some historic building research on select properties within the addition.
