Biographical NoteWilliam B. Hudson (1899-1982) served as postmaster of Dallas for 14 years, from April 1, 1955 until March 29, 1969. He began his career with the postal service as a clerk in Dallas in 1921, rising through the ranks to become postmaster. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsThis small collection has materials pertaining primarily to Hudson's career as postmaster of Dallas. The bulk of the collection consist of photographs taken at postal service events, programs from postal service conferences, postal service periodicals, and notes from speeches given by Hudson upon the occasion of the retirement of postmaster J.
