MA	10.3	R	DALLAS PRINT AND DRAWING SOCIETY 1940-1977. Correspondence, pamphlets and brochures from events, membership lists, newspaper clippings and other administrative material. The Dallas Print and Drawing Society was founded in 1935 and soon became affiliated with the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts. The DMFA, incidentally, was originally housed in the first Dallas Public Library starting in 1901. The Dallas Print and Drawing Society held meetings and showings at both the DMFA and DPL. Some of its substantial collection of artwork wound up in the DMFA (now the DMA) and some went to the Dallas Public Library. Many of the prints previously belonging to the Print Society are housed in the Fine Arts Division of the central Dallas Public Library.	T/D

Please note that use of this collection is limited -- due to their significance, patrons may view only one folder at a time. Also, the Dallas Public Library does not own the copyright to these images, and reprints are not allowed without the permission of the owner. Most of the images are owned by the Sixth Floor Museum, which has many of the negatives. For more information about this collection, please see the John F. MA	09.2	U	DILLON FAMILY COLLECTION 1880s - 1980. This collection spans three generations of the Dillon family, starting with Henry Clay Dillon, his first wife Laura Seaman, and second wife Margaret Neely. Henry Clay Dillon had two children by his first wife--Charles Howard Dillon and Ruth Dillon. Charles Dillon had one son named Howard Clay Dillon. Materials include a few photos of Henry Clay Dillon and information about his missionary work with the Central American Mission (C.A.M.). Most materials are from Charles and Ruth Dillon, who were unofficially adopted by the Powell family of Dallas. There are also many photos and a few other materials on Howard Clay--the third generation Dillon. There are several folders full of family history including a history of the Dillon family researched and typed by Howard, his wife Carol and his Aunt Ruth.	T/D

MA	09.13	RC	DISTRICT COURT - DALLAS COUNTY - "VICE COURT RECORDS" 1909 - 1911 These court records contain Writs of Injunction, and some include Plaintiffs' Original Petition, Citations, Sheriff's Certificates of Service, Defendant's Answer and Affidavits regarding two sets of trials, a June 1909 case conducted by County Attorney Dwight L. Lewelling against saloons in Dallas who have installed a screen obstructing the entrance, and the other, the North Dallas Improvement League battle against the attempts by the City of Dallas, and the Mayor and County Commissioners to establish a legal red light district where prostitution would be allowed.
