The Dallas Print and Drawing Society was founded in 1935 and soon became affiliated with the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts. The DMFA, incidentally, was originally housed in the first Dallas Public Library starting in 1901. The Dallas Print and Drawing Society held meetings and showings at both the DMFA and DPL. Some of its substantial collection of artwork wound up in the DMFA (now the DMA) and some went to the Dallas Public Library. Many of the prints previously belonging to the Print Society are housed in the Fine Arts Division of the central Dallas Public Library. |

Charles Dillon had one son named Howard Clay Dillon. Materials include a few photos of
Henry Clay Dillon and information about his missionary work with the Central American
Mission (C.A.M.). Most materials are from Charles and Ruth Dillon, who were unofficially
adopted by the Powell family of Dallas. There are also many photos and a few other
materials on Howard Clay--the third generation Dillon. There are several folders full of
family history including a history of the Dillon family researched and typed by Howard,
his wife Carol and his Aunt Ruth. |
