TABLE OF CONTENTS
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) was founded in 1852 and on November 1913 in Dallas, a Texas section of the ASCE was established. The ASCE Wives club of Dallas was organized by Mrs. L.W. Wells in February 1940 and was modeled after a similar ASCE wives club in Houston, Texas. The group sought to foster social activities amongst wives of the ASCE engineers. The group continues to meet and is still an active part in the ASCE.
The collection consists of a range of scrapbooks put together by the organization to document their history. The scrapbooks cover a range of years, 1940-2001. Included inside the volumes are photographs, yearbooks, clippings, rosters and by-laws.
