The Texas/Dallas History & Archives Division approximately 1,500,000 photographs and negatives of Dallas and Texas events. From buildings to sports to people, the collection documents Dallas through past and present.

- Visit the Texas/Dallas History & Archives Division to peruse visual file cards and stock photos

- For specific subjects, please contact our department staff. Searches may require several days depending on staff availability.
How to order photographs
Most of the photographs in the collection can be digitally scanned or reprinted. We offer reprints in many sizes, starting at 5x7. Photograph orders typically take two to three weeks; faster service is available and requires a rush fee. Please contact us if you would like to place an order.
How to request publication rights
Most of the photographs in the collection may be published, broadcast or displayed Online with the permission of the department. One-time publication uses are included in the photograph order fee; additional uses and broadcast licenses may incur extra fees. Students and educators may use images in the Online catalog for classroom use.
